Assistant Scientist John Poulsen, Research Associate Greg Fiske, and Postdoctoral Fellow Paul Mann have departed for a month-long research trip throughout the Congo Basin. Lasting over three weeks, and traveling nearly 1500 kilometers, the team will be sampling water quality in rivers and streams throughout the region as part of the Global Rivers initiatives.
This map is their proposed route. The yellow markers indicate planned water sampling sites.
