Pantropical Capacity Building Workshop Journal: Indonesia - November 2010

As part of the Woods Hole Research Center’s capacity building initiatives, Assistant Scientists Alessandro Baccini and Wayne Walker, Research Assistant Danielle Knight, Intern Max Nepstad, and collaborator Ned Horning, of the American Museum of Natural History, led a workshop entitled Methods for Biomass Estimation and Forest-Cover Mapping in the Tropics, a training workshop on forest monitoring for Southeast Asian countries, from November 8-12, at the University of Mulawarman in Samarinda, Indonesia. Upon her return, Danielle wrote a personal summary of the experience:
