Study Sites

Our work in Central Africa focuses primarily in and around protected areas. Many of these sites are also located within the Landscapes designated by the Congo Basin Forest Partnership (CBFP), an initiative of the U.S. government that began in 2003. Current and previous study sites include:

the northern Republic of Congo and the Sangha Tri-National Park;
the Albertine Rift in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo;
Okapi Wildlife Reserve and Salonga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo;
Lopé National Park in Gabon; and,
the rain forest of southern Cameroon.
