Carbon cycle biogeochemistry, nutrient cycles in aquatic ecosystems, land to ocean fluxes of carbon, molecular characterization of organic matter to assess sources and degradation histories, the fate of terrestrial carbon in aquatic ecosystems, development of in-situ sensors, water quality.
